Media Metrix today released the U.S. Top 50 Web and Digital Media properties for November 2000 and for the first time in 2000, online retailer Toys-R-Us ranks among the top 50 at number 49 with 6.4 million unique visitors.

Toys-R-Us is also the number one online retail-toy site among Internet users at home and work combined in November 2000. The site also has over 30% more traffic than it did in November 1999, when it ranked number 35 with 4.8 million unique visitors. In December 1999 Toysrus.com ranked number 42 with 4.4 million unique visitors.

Time Warner Online ranks number eight in November with 20 million unique visitors, a 19% increase since October 2000. Time Warner Online's increase was primarily spurred by CNN.com, which grew 50% since last month during extended presidential elections news coverage (growth was from 8 million unique visitors in October to 12.1 million in November).

Gator Network, an online service and application that automatically fills out forms and stores passwords for members, is the highest ranking Media Metrix Newcomer to the November Top 50, debuting at number 22 with 10.3 million unique visitors.

Additional newcomers to the November Top 50 include Flowgo.com and Mailbits.net, ranking at number 23 and 42 with 9.7 and 7.1 million unique visitors, respectively. Both sites offer free email newsletters to subscribers.

Prizecrazy.com, a gaming site which just launched in November 2000, debuts in the Top 50 at number 48, with 6.4 million unique visitors. The site's instant popularity correlates with its sizeable online advertising campaign in which it had two million online-advertising impressions during the month of November, according to Ad Relevance, a Jupiter Media Metrix company.
