Local market site Examiner.com is expanding to Canada Oct. 29. Examiner.com Canada will provide localized content -- breaking news to arts to sports -- to users in Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. Examiner.com Canada will also offer national content for residents not living in one of its five initial markets. Examiner.com Canada is actively recruiting Canadians passionate about their interests and areas of expertise, expecting to have over 100 active writers and photographers when the expansion launches. This is the first global foray for Examiner.com. Next year, it will launch in the U.K.
