Brouillard a Big Winner
May 30, 2001, 12:00 AM
Shall we dance? Not a bad concept for an ad demonstrating an international investment bank's prowess and connections in the new global economy. That's what the Financial Communications Society thought as well in selecting Brouillard Communications winner for the best single print advertisement in its 2001 annual Portfolio Awards. The colorful ad, depicting a group of uniformed school children high-stepping arm-in-arm across a posh-looking classroom, was done on behalf of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley). In the center of the ad, a young man in short pants and his dance partner are locked together in confident pose, ready to take on the world. As the copy notes, when it comes to connecting investors, services and technology around the world, "this is absolutely not the time to be a wallflower." The firm also took two other FCS Portfolio Awards, which are designed to "celebrate excellence in financial service advertising."
