Arbitron Inc. yesterday announced that three new webcast networks - RadioWave, BigRadio.com, Inc. and The New York Times Electronic Media Company - joined the Arbitron Webcast Ratings(SM) network in February.

Webcast networks are defined as radio station owners that stream their content online or companies that aggregate online audio programming. Webcast networks are ranked according to their total monthly aggregate tuning hours (ATH) - the total sum of hours that listeners tune to a given station.

RadioWave streamed by Akamai Technologies, Inc. ranked fifth with 975,100 ATH; BigRadio.com, Inc. streamed by DigiCast Inc. ranked 12th with 284,900 ATH; and The New York Times Electronic Media Company streamed by Akamai Technologies, Inc. ranked 24th with 115,700 ATH.

For the seventh consecutive month, NetRadio.com, an Internet-only aggregator of online audio, streamed by Akamai Technologies, Inc. and iBEAM Broadcasting, maintained its number one spot with more than three million ATH. Live365 - an Internet radio provider that enables consumers, terrestrial radio stations and organizations to create their own radio stations or listen to thousands of stations created by others - remained in the number two spot with more than 2.7 million ATH.

There were two new entrants into top ten in February. The first, Clear Channel Internet Group, streamed by Akamai Technologies, Inc.; Intel Corp.; StreamAudio; CyberAxis; RealBroadcast Networks; and SyncCast, ranked number seven with 561,800 ATH. The second, Public Interactive, streamed by Akamai Technologies, Inc., ranked number eight with 539,800 ATH.
