Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets say it is introducing its third-private label beer: Dutch Republic 1581 Beer, a traditional Dutch pilsner-style made in an eco-friendly brewery in Holland.

The latest launch joins Steel Kettle Whistle, an American-style lager brewed in Wisconsin, and Taurino, a Latin-style beer brewed in El Salvador, which has been on its shelves since Tesco PLC launched Fresh & Easy in the U.S. two years ago. In its latest results, Tesco says the chain, which operates stores in the Western U.S., has seen stronger same-store sales performance.--Sarah Mahoney
