Outdoor Fuels Clear Channel Ad Growth, Radio Lags

Thanks largely to surging demand for its outdoor media inventory, Clear Channel Communications Friday reported second quarter revenues of $2.5 billion, a 7 percent gain over the second quarter of 2003. Outdoor ad sales led the company's revenue growth, rising 12 percent to $639.5 billion, while radio was relatively tepid, rising 3 percent of $966.8 million.
