MICHAEL COMINS has been named Corporate Vice President and Director of Media Services at online advertising, email and marketing agency NetPlus Marketing, Inc.. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Director of Media Services at HookMedia and Senior Vice President, Media Director for Digitas, both based in Boston, Massachusetts.
BETH WAGNER has been named Vice President/ Director of Sales with Continental Television Sales in Chicago. She had been Vice President/ Sales Manager at Continental Television Sales in Chicago.
JOHN THORNE has been named Vice President/Director of Sales with the West Station Group of Continental Television Sales (CTS) in Los Angeles. Thorne began his career at Continental Television Sales in 1994 as an Account Executive in New York.
PATRICIA NORWINE has joined FRONT DESK/LA as Advertising Director. In 2000, Norwine started her own consulting firm working on projects for Prince Albert's World Music Awards and KCET.
GREG O'BRIEN General Manager, Western Region, at Captivate Network, Inc. Prior to Captivate, O'Brien was Managing Director of Multimedia Entertainment, an Internet music and entertainment venue.
CLAUDINE LANGAN has been promoted to regional manager of Cox Interactive Media's eastern division. Langan was previously general manager of CIMedia's Northern Virginia web site, allnva.com.
KERRY BRIX is joining Mediaprise as Vice President Business Development. He had been National Practice Director Meritage Technologies.
NICK COSTON joins Clear Channel Communications/Eller Media, to handle national and regional advertising that comes out of Washington, DC. He was most recently the Director of Advertising for The New Republic.
MATT BREHM joined SoftCoin as Manager, Online Business Development. He had been Sales Director in the Western Region at CoolSavings.com in San Francisco.
PAUL L. SCHAUT, former president and CEO of Engage Inc. has been named to Amazing Media, Inc. Board of Directors. Schaut most recently served on Amazing Media's Advisory Board.
College Publisher and eGrad, joint companies that provide interactive marketing and technology services to the college-educated, young adult market, announced the appointment of MARK BUSINSKI as Vice President of National Advertising and TRICIA BLACK as Director of Business Development. Businski's previous posts were Vice President, National Advertising at Steamtunnels Magazine and Senior Vice President, Eastern Sales at Cass Communications. Black worked in account management positions at Student Advantage and the Collegiate Advantage Marketing Group.
CHRISTOPHER LAURANCE, a managing director from Young/Rubicam, has been appointed to Media and Entertainment.com Inc.'s board of directors.
