XM To Host ABC Radio Networks

ABC Radio Networks' flagship brands, ESPN Radio, Radio Disney and ABC News and Talk, will be available to subscribers of XM Satellite Radio. ABC Radio Networks has more than 4,600 affiliate radio stations reaching 123 million persons age 12 and older each week. ABC broadcasts six full- service News Networks, Radio Disney, ESPN Radio, "Paul Harvey News and Comment" and "The Rest of the Story," "The Tom Joyner Morning Show" and "The Doug Banks Morning Show," "American Country Countdown with Bob Kingsley," 12 ABC Radio 24-hour music formats, ABC Sports, and an extensive line-up of music and talk programming.
In recent weeks, XM has announced a host of agreements creating dedicated XM channels to air content from major news and entertainment programmers including CNBC, to offer XM listeners the latest in financial market and business information; CNET, to provide XM listeners with the latest tech news, analysis and commentary; and MTV Networks, to create two 24-hour XM channels under the MTV and VH1 brand names. XM will offer up to 100 channels of digital-quality sound and provide coast-to-coast coverage of music, news, sports, talk, comedy and children's programming. XM successfully launched its second satellite on May 8, completing its constellation. Commercial service is scheduled to begin late this summer.
