Hotels.com is launching a "Win a Vacation for Life" summer sweepstakes dangling a check for $102,250.

The effort, at www.hotels.com/ineedavacation requires users to upload "the funniest, most creative and compelling photo of themselves that shows why they deserve a vacation." The contest continues throughout the summer with a winner announced in early September.

Participants can boost their chances of winning by recruiting their network of friends, family, and colleagues to vote for their picture every day. Contestants also have the option of uploading their pictures directly from their Facebook albums.--Karl Greenberg
