Maui Invitational Allows First Corporate Sponsor

Electronic Arts has inked a three-year agreement with KemperLesnik Communications Sports Marketing making EA SPORTS the title sponsor of the Maui Invitational hosted by Chaminade University. Electronic Arts' EA SPORTS brand becomes the first corporate sponsor in the basketball tournament's 18-year history. The EA SPORTS Maui Invitational is scheduled for November 19-21, 2001 at the 2,400-seat Lahaina Civic Center, Maui, Hawaii. In addition to Chaminade, the 18th annual tournament will feature men's basketball teams including Duke University -- the 2001 NCAA Champions, UCLA, Kansas, Ball State, Houston, Seton Hall and South Carolina. At least six games will be televised live on ESPN networks.
