The City and Regional Magazine Association (CRMA) announced today that advertising page counts for 30 of its member publications increased by 3.3% for the 12-month period ending Sept. 30, 2001, compared to the same period in 2000. The 30 publications reporting account for more than one-third of the CRMA members. Total advertising page count for the 12-month period ended Sept. 30, 2001, was 16,595. Jim Fitzpatrick, CRMA president and publisher of San Diego magazine, said, "This current advertising page count is representative of the entire city and regional magazine category. The increase indicates that this category is able to sustain its advertising levels despite the current difficult economic situation."
