Arby's Launches 'Juniorize' Web App

  • July 19, 2010
To promote its new Jr. Deluxe Value Menu sandwich, Arby's is launching its first Web application, called "Juniorize."

The app enables users to morph photos of themselves or friends into their own, 3-D versions of the cowboy-hatted Arby's Junior character, interact with the character, and have him send pre-set or customized audio/video messages to friends.

The app can be shared through email and social networks, and embedded on personal blogs or sites or shared by copying/pasting the URL. Accessed through facebook.com/arbys or arbys.com/juniorizeme, it was created by Initiative's Innovations group and is powered by Oddcast.

The Jr. Deluxe sandwich features roast beef, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on a toasted sesame seed bun. Arby's Value Menu, launched in April, offers the chain's signature items for prices starting at $1.
