Giants of Broadcasting Awards Oct. 6

The Eighth Annual Giants of Broadcasting Awards Ceremony will take place Oct. 6 in New York City, sponsored by the national Library of American Broadcasting, which honors those individuals who played pivotal roles in creating and advancing the electronic arts. This year's honorees include Dick Clark, Sam Donaldson, Lesley Stahl, Agnes Nixon, Norman Corwin, Hal Jackson, NAB's Eddie Fritts and, posthumously, Rue McClanahan, Art Linkletter, Daniel Schorr and David Wolper. Charles Osgood of "CBS Sunday Morning" and CBS Radio will continue as Master of Ceremonies.
