At The Bandies Awards 2001 event, held concurrently with the Western Cable Show, Catalina Marketing Corporation and RespondTV took the top prize in the Killer Application category. The winning interactive campaign was the first of its kind to allow television viewers to use their remote to enter loyalty card account information during targeted ads and then automatically receive a discount the next time they make a purchase at a participating supermarket. The campaign integrated RespondTV's interactive TV transaction processing capabilities with the Catalina Marketing Network to provide an integrated solution for the consumer packaged goods industry. -- Adam Bernard
