The Chicago Tribune has introduced a new feature on chicagotribune.com that allows consumers to place ads with the click of a mouse. Individuals now can create their own classified ads, which will appear both in the newspaper and online. The program can be reached via the "Place An Ad" button on chicagotribune.com. The online program works simultaneously with the Tribune's Advertising classified system, quickly processing the ads and posting them. Customers are also allowed to preview an exact copy of their ad prior to making a credit card payment. Company officials say this addition to the website meets the demands of consumers, many of whom have grown more familiar with the convenience and practicalities of e-business.
