Bravo Greenlights 'Going Platinum'

Bravo has greenlit "Going Platinum"(working title), a new music competition series showcasing emerging singer-songwriters. Jewel is set to host the series, alongside Kara DioGuardi, an award-winning songwriter who will be the head judge each week. The series is currently in production in Los Angeles and is scheduled to premiere in 2011 with 10 episodes. It will follow 12 contestants as they face innovative songwriting challenges testing their creativity, patience and drive. From dance track to love ballad, every episode will feature a different theme that will require the contestants to write and perform lyrics from multiple genres.
