Time Warner Rolls Out Premium Cable Service

Time Warner Cable is launching a $199 a month premium service with unusual perks for gadget-loving wealthy clients, as it begins to segment its customers according to how much money they are willing to pay and what level of service they demand. The SignatureHome service includes broadband download speeds of up to 50Mbps and a digital video recorder connected to every screen, including PlayStations and iPads, in the home, although customers will have to pay extra for premium channels such as HBO and Showtime.
