The American Film Institute honored 10 shows as the year’s best for its annual AFI Awards. The TV series an AFI jury honored are: Boomtown (NBC); Everybody Loves Raymond (CBS); Gilmore Girls (The WB);
The Simpsons (Fox); Six Feet Under (HBO); The Sopranos (HBO); and The West Wing (NBC). Three TV movies – Door To Door, The Believer and The Gathering Storm – were also honored.
