Knicks Extend All-Star Campaign

  • December 29, 2010
The NBA's New York Knickerbockers are extending a program they recently launched along with the team's new Web site: KnicksNow.com. The team has been running the video on the big screen in Madison Square Garden during games. Now the video will have a consumer content element. The All-Star campaign includes the mash-up video featuring players Amar'e Stoudemire, Raymond Felton and Danilo Gallinari and an interactive fan voting site VoteKnicks.com. It's also broadcast on MSG Network.

The extension lets fans upload personalized videos of their "number one reason" to vote Danilo, Raymond and Amar'e for the All-Star 2011 game. Deadline for the fan video submissions is Jan. 10 with winners being featured in a new DJ Steve Porter mash-up video and television commercial. The site also includes information on how to vote online, vote via text messaging and instructions on how to upload voting information to social networking sites. All-Star voting ends at midnight on Jan. 23.--Karl Greenberg
