Online Ad Market Booms in Britain

Britain's Internet advertising market hit 350 million pounds in 2003, and looks certain to continue its surge past commercial radio within the next three years, according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) UK and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In the report, the up-tick was attributed to the demand for corporate-sponsored search listings and, a surge in new users attracted a host of advertisers to the Internet. Year over year revenues increased 80 percent-far higher than the trade group's initial estimate of 50 percent growth in 2003 for February.
