McD's Recognized For Advancing Women

  • January 25, 2011
McDonald's, Kaiser Permanente and Time Warner Inc. have been chosen as this year's recipients of the Catalyst Award, which honors exceptional corporate initiatives to support and advance women in business.

Catalyst is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding opportunities for women in business.

McDonald's is being recognized for "Freedom Within a Framework," a global initiative that has substantially increased the percentages of women in market leadership roles and on the company's board, as well as in restaurant manager positions.

Diversity programs at Time Warner and Kaiser Permanente have achieved similar progress in increasing percentages of women in key management roles.

The awards will be presented to the companies on March 29, in New York City.
