Verizon Offers NHL App

Verizon Wireless is offering hockey fans the opportunity to follow the National Hockey League with a new app that will allow fans access to games, scores, players and video highlights.

The NHL GameCenter Live app will come in three forms: A paid app ($39.99), which will allow fans to watch 40 out-of-market games a week on their Android and Blackberry devices; a $9.99 version will grant consumers access to condensed games, live radio and video highlights, and a free version will give consumers access to live scores, in-game stats and the NHL's official Twitter feed.

Verizon Wireless is the official wireless provider of the NHL, and the apps are exclusive to the carrier.
