Most-Followed Mags On Twitter

Folio provides a list of the 50 magazines with the largest number of Twitter followers. The top 10: People, Time, InStyle, Women's Wear Daily, Entertainment Weekly, Newsweek, Life, Health, Wired and TV Guide. (And lest you think fairly lightweight pubs rule the Twitterverse, No. 11 is The Economist -- probably the first time that mag been mentioned in the same sentence as TV Guide.)

Mags are doing better than newspapers in this new medium, reports Folio: "There are eight magazine brands with more than a million followers, and 14 with more than half a million, while the newspaper industry has just two: the New York Times (2,882,697) and Wall Street Journal (618,751)."
