Tribune Co. said yesterday that it has decided to use Tacoda Systems Inc.'s technology on its interactive news and information websites to provide targeted advertising to marketers and provide
editorial content to users. According to company officials, the interactive unit will analyze online audience demographic and geographic information, behavioral patterns and traffic trends of
registered and non-registered site users. The data will help Tribune Interactive create new types of targeted advertising products, such as customer profile matching, affinity group and cross-channel
campaigns.
