National Do Not Email List

  • June 26, 2003
Based on the continued increase of spam, National Do Not Email List (NDNEL) said on Thursday is has created a solution that gives consumers the ability to opt-out from thousands of marketing lists, including Spam. Gary Guseinov, founder of NDNEL, says the goal is to create a balance between consumer and marketer where the consumer receives only the messages they want and not the ones they don't want. And parents can prevent their children from receiving porn Spam. The consumer fills out a questionnaire, which allows them to select the type of messages they don't want to receive and the ones they do want to receive. Consumers can also report Spam on the NDNEL website. NDNEL works with marketers to make sure that consumers who request to be removed from their lists, never receive emails from them again.
