Nielsen To Rate Fox Business Network

Following the recent debut of "Lou Dobbs Tonight," Fox Business Network said it would become Nielsen rated, allowing media executives to assess its ratings against rival CNBC.

The first public ratings will become available March 28. The News Corp. network and sister of Fox News Channel launched in 2007 and is in about 50 million homes, far fewer than CNBC.

"As we enter into the new upfront season and continue to expand both our base of advertisers and network distribution, we felt it was the appropriate time to make our ratings fully available," stated sales head Paul Rittenberg.

Former CNN mainstay Dobbs now anchors a weeknight program at 7 p.m., following Neil Cavuto's show.
