Matt Weiner will be firmly in charge, with "no specific mandate to eliminate cast members," at least for budget reasons, reports HitFix's Alan Sepinwall.
That means Betty's probably safe to at least be the bad mother that Sally will need to rebel against as she moves further into her teens -- and the series advances further into the pot-smoking, anti-Vietnam-War '60s.
