Burger King, Franchisees Settle Pricing Suit

Burger King Corp.'s U.S. franchisees have dismissed a lawsuit they filed against the company in 2009. The main complaint in the suit, filed on behalf of BK franchisees by the National Franchisee Association focused on BK's having set the price of its Double Cheeseburger on its Value Menu at $1, which franchisees maintained hurt their profits.

BK has now agreed to give franchisees more say in setting prices of Value Menu items and determining the duration of special offers, according to Reuters.
