Subway's CMO Talks About 'Commit to Fit' Sweepstakes

Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle ran in last year's ING New York City Marathon, boosting participation in Subway's "Commit to Fit" sweepstakes promotion. About 100,000 people registered. This year, the marathon runner for Subway will be Olympic speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno. Ohno will run the Nov. 6 race and serve as centerpiece of the "Commit to Fit" sweepstakes, which dangles gift cards up to $25,000. Tony Pace, the chief marketing officer at Subway, weighs in on the second iteration of the program and on sweepstakes as a marketing tactic.
