Smithsonian Magazine has tapped Interevco as a web marketing partner, the mag announced yesterday. The Internet firm has been charged with increasing traffic and broadening sponsorship opportunities on SmithsonianMag.com. Smithsonian pointed to Interevco's past web successes with publishing companies: the company helped drive up Prevention's page views by 33% and expanded its advertiser base beyond pharmaceutical companies. "Interevco can draw and retain web visitors, and we look forward to working together to increase the 'stickiness' of our site and keep our readers coming back for more," Smithsonian associate publisher Thomas Huber said in a press release. Smithsonian boasts a circulation of more than two million.
