El Nuevo Herald and La Opinion Digital have teamed to produce a Spanish-language web site heralding the upcoming Latin Grammy Awards. The web site (www.laopinion.com/latingrammy) will feature a host of news in the weeks leading up to the event, including photos, artist bios and interviews. According to a company press release, both companies will promote the site via their on- and offline properties. "We are pleased to join forces with La Opinion in bringing this exciting entertainment news to Hispanic communities everywhere via the web," said Kim Marcille, general manager for Knight Ridder Digital, Miami, producers of ElNuevoHerald.com. "The fact that the Latin Grammy Awards are being hosted in Miami just a few blocks from our office will give us some great coverage opportunities." El Nuevo Herald is the largest Spanish-language Sunday newspaper in the U.S., while La Opinion is the country's largest Spanish-language daily.
