Cruise Line Wins For Onboard TV Programming
Jul 29, 2003, 12:00 AM
Royal Caribbean International was recently awarded three bronze Telly Awards for two onboard television programs and a corporate video produced by the cruise line. Now in its 24th year, the Telly Awards showcase and give recognition to outstanding non-network and cable television commercials, video productions and non-network television programming. The award-winning programs, "Casino Request Live" and "Get Out There, Episode 1," were created exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests and are included in the onboard programming featured on stateroom televisions throughout the fleet. The corporate video, "Executive Management Gold Anchor Standards," was designed to help train Royal Caribbean International employees. Created to appeal to younger adult guests, "Casino Request Live" provides an overview of the ships' casinos, offering tips on how to play popular games such as blackjack and roulette. "Get Out There, Episode 1" showcases the variety of activities and programs available to guests on a Royal Caribbean cruise vacation, from onboard amenities to Explorations! shore excursions.
