Arbitron Inc. announced on Monday that LAUNCH, the music destination on Yahoo!, has subscribed to and will now be measured in Arbitron's Internet Broadcast Ratings (powered by MeasureCast technology). For the week of April 7 - 13, LAUNCHcast had 3,194,628 hours of Total Time Spent Tuning, the sum total hours tuned by listeners to a given station or network. Also, LAUNCHcast had 678,693 Cume Persons, the estimated number of unique listeners tuning for more than five minutes during the week of April 7 -13. LAUNCHcast will be included among Arbitron's Top Internet Broadcast Networks beginning with data for the week of April 14 - April 20 to be released on May 1. "With the incredible growth of Internet radio listening, the Internet broadcast advertising market is poised to take off and LAUNCH plans to lead the way. Advertisers, marketers and agencies have told us that independent third-party measurement is crucial when it comes to justifying their investments in this rapidly developing medium. Arbitron will help LAUNCH strengthen our online radio advertising efforts by providing the credible data and experience advertisers and agencies have come to trust," said David Goldberg, vice president and general manager, Music at Yahoo!
