Fox Expands Bernard's Role To Include Affiliate, Multiplatform Distribution

Fox has expanded the duties of Laurel Bernard, adding oversight of affiliate and multiplatform distribution marketing to her current role, which includes off-air marketing and promotions efforts for the network. Bernard, whose Fox tenure dates to 1989 in the motion picture group, becomes executive vice president of marketing.

Also, Brian Dollenmayer becomes executive vice president of on-air promotions and marketing, which includes oversight of the creative aspects of on-air and radio promotional efforts.

As part of the reorganization, Shannon Ryan becomes executive vice president of marketing and communications, which includes leadership of Fox's publicity efforts and creative services.

All three will report to Joe Earley, Fox's president of marketing and communications. Earley stated that the moves "create a new structure which increases collaboration and innovation."

In 2007, Bernard returned to Fox, where she had led national media, after a year at Fox Searchlight Films.

Dollenmayer joined Fox in 1994 and has overseen campaigns from "Ally McBeal" to "24" to "Glee."

Ryan has worked in publicity at Fox for some time and helped craft launch campaigns for shows such as "Family Guy" and "Arrested Development."

All three have been involved in campaigns for "American Idol" and Fox's new singing competition "The X Factor."
