Showtime Gives 'Homeland' Second Season

Spy thrillers are proving a hot commodity on Showtime, which has just greenlit a second season of "Homeland," which stars Claire Danes as a CIA officer convinced that a returning American soldier may be connected to a terrorist plot planned in the U.S. "Homeland" debuted as the network's highest-rated new series ever, generating 4.4 million viewers across platforms in its first week.
