Rich Media European Style
Apr 16, 2003, 12:00 AM
According to Dreieich, Germany-based ADTECH, European online marketing is becoming more and more colorful. Interactive Rich Media formats such as Flash, pop-ups and sticky ads already account for 46.4% of all banner bookings as they rapidly replace the classic GIF in digital marketing. Flash formats, pop-ups and pop-unders are close to the top of the Rich Media format booking scale. Advertising with Flash accounts for 46.9% of bookings. One-third of interactive advertising (33.4%) consists of pop-ups and pop-unders. The share of newer formats such as sticky ads, expanding banners or the text links used in newsletters remains (for now) under the ten percent level. The demand for automated booking features while creating Rich Media advertising is higher than ever. Instead of difficult and expensive manual programming for such formats, ADTECH customers prefer to rely on automatic media creation via the Banner Wizard for half (54.8 %) of their advertising formats. The booking tool offers templates for the most widespread Rich Media formats. The Banner Wizard makes it possible to book interactive advertising formats with just a few clicks and without special technical knowledge. ADTECH customers can also know for sure that the Rich Media banners they book using the Banner Wizard will function 100%free of technical errors.
