T-Mobile Hypes 'Super Sale'

  • December 13, 2011

T-Mobile is doing its part to goose smartphone sales for the holidays.

For two days this weekend, the telecommunications company is offering many of its phones or mobile broadband devices for a $0 down payment (after a mail-in rebate card, when signing up for a new two-year contract), in what the company is terming a “4G Super Sale.”

“T-Mobile wants to give last-minute shoppers one more chance to get a great deal for their holiday shopping,” said John Clelland, senior vice president of marketing, T-Mobile USA, in a statement. “We want to make the best data devices accessible to all, and what could be better than being able to find the right device to give a loved one at a great price?”

The promotion follows T-Mobile’s Magenta Saturday, which happened in November, as well as its own traditional Black Friday promotions, which realized double expected sales, according to the company.
