ComScore says holiday shoppers are making spirits bright online, with the most recent week (ending Dec. 18), hitting an all-time weekly record of $6.3 billion. That included four individual days that topped $1 billion in sales, and represents a 14% increase from the same time period last year.

And the final shopping weekend before Christmas reached $1.04 billion to rank as the second heaviest weekend of online spending on record, reports the Reston, Va.-based company, which tracks digital spending. For the holiday season-to-date, it says nearly $32 billion has been spent online, a 15% hike from the corresponding  period in the prior year.
