LinkedIn Releases Search Engine IndexTank As Open Source Code

After acquiring the company in October, LinkedIn recently made good on a promise at the time of the acquisition to release the technology code for IndexTank as open source, which allows any developer to use. IndexTank supports hosted service to search a Web site or application. Reddit runs on IndexEngine and API from IndexTank, for example.
