Y&R Matches Radio-Mercury College Award

Y&R has announced it will match The Radio-Mercury Awards’ $2500 College Award, giving the winning school a total of $5,000 cash. The Radio Creative Fund will introduce the College Award with the 2003 Radio-Mercury Awards competition. Its goal is to expand awareness about radio creative within the college community. “Reaching creatives early will boost their ability to develop radio spots that garner results for their clients,” says Y&R president/chief creative officer Jim Ferguson, who is also one of this year’s chief judges. The 2003 Radio-Mercury Awards will be held on Thursday, June 19 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York.
