SAG, AFTRA To Merge

Hollywood's two main actors unions, the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, are combining the unions, reports the Los Angeles Times. The Group for One Union, which is made up of leaders of SAG and AFTRA, hammered out an agreement to merge. While SAG represents about 125,000 actors, AFTRA claims more than 70,000 members, including actors, broadcasters, disc jockeys, singers and dancers. At least 40,000 people are members of both unions.
