Fandango CMO Heads To M-GO

  • January 31, 2012

Former Fandango and Movies.com marketing executive Ted Hong has joined M-GO as its new chief marketing officer, leading marketing and communications around consumer adoption of the new app.

Launching this year, the M-GO app is designed to combine electronic media (including movies, music, live TV and more) in one place. After debuting at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, the company has entered into strategic relationships with consumer electronics companies such as Vizio, Samsung and Intel.

Hong was previously chief marketing officer at Fandango and Movies.com, helping launch the former brand’s well-known Bag Puppet advertising campaign.

“Ted’s proven track record and deep knowledge of how to turn a great product into a category disruptor, aligns perfectly with our mission to bring consumers a simpler way to manage and view their content” said John Batter, CEO of M-GO, in a statement. “We couldn’t be happier to have him join our team at a time when we’re focused on growth, as well as creating and communicating value to the consumer.”
