Despite cool extras like the ability to pause and rewind and watch from four different camera angles, "the 2012 Super Bowl streaming experience itself left a lot to be desired," writes Rip Empson.

The historic digital event fell down on delivery of the halftime show, and of ads in real time (though for some viewers, missing out on that '80s era disco spectacle provided by Madonna could have been a blessing. We're just saying).
