On Monday, AccuWeather, Inc. announced agreements with four wireless providers for the supply and delivery of weather content via wireless devices. The agreements include a renewal of a partnership with InfoSpace, Inc. and new partnerships with eMbience, Summus and Emblaze Systems. AccuWeather will deliver five-day forecasts, radar and severe weather alerts on InfoSpace; provide content for Summus’ applications. AccuWeather will work with eMbience, a software developer, to create wireless applications that will deliver information such as 10-day forecasts, current conditions, forecasts on an hourly basis and radar animation graphics. The deal with Emblaze promises a range of international distribution opportunities open up for AccuWeather.
