Target Taps McKinney Chief As New CMO

Target, which has been without a marketing chief since Michael Francis joined JCPenney back in October, has hired Jeffrey J. Jones II, 44, as its new EVP/CMO. Jones had been partner and president of McKinney, an ad agency in Durham, N.C., and has also been EVP/CMO of the Gap, and held marketing positions at Coca-Cola and Leo Burnett Worldwide. In January, Target announced its split from ad agency Wieden & Kennedy.
