Comedian to Appear in Mid-Season Sitcom on NBC

Comedian Tom Papa will star in the new NBC mid-season comedy "Come to Papa," the network said. The show is based on Papa's standup as it explores the ups and downs of a writer's family, friends and his desire to live more than an ordinary life in New Jersey. NBC Studios and Warner Bros. Television will produce six episodes of "Come to Papa," including the pilot that was filmed last spring. Papa and Jennifer Aspen star with Robert Patrick Benedict, Oscar winner Shirley Jones, Hal Lindon and John Salley. Papa stars as a reporter for a large newspaper who has bigger plans to become a comedy writer and move out of Jersey. Aspen plays his wife.
