Search Engine Marketing Professionals Join Forces

More than 300 search engine marketing firms and consultants on Wednesday announced that they are joining forces to become founding members of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO). The mission of the new industry association is to increase awareness and promote the value of search engine marketing services. Barbara C. Coll, CEO of WebMama.com Inc. and President of SEMPO, said, "Search engine marketing is ready to become an integral part of all marketing campaigns for online businesses. SEMPO will inform marketing executives worldwide that search engine marketing programs are highly effective, cost-efficient ways of generating high-quality sales leads and customers for their businesses." The SEMPO board of directors includes: Barbara C. Coll, WebMama.com Inc., Chairperson of the Board and President of SEMPO; Noel McMichael, Marketleap, Vice-President Jessie Chase-Stricchiola, Alchemist Media, Secretary of SEMPO; Kevin Lee, Did-it.com; Christine Churchill, KeyRelevance; Brett Tabke, WebMasterWorld; Fredrick Marckini, iProspect; and Dana Todd, SiteLab.
