E. W. Scripps Co. continued to be the poster child of the U.S. ad recovery in October, recording a 6.9 percent increase in consolidated revenues largely on strong ad demand for its Scripps Networks. The networks - Food, HGTV and DIY - experienced a 30% rise in October advertising sales.
