Berman To Anchor, CNN's 'Early Start'

CNN said on Wednesday that it had hired John Berman, a 17-year ABC News correspondent, to be an anchor and reporter, notes The New York Times. Berman will be an anchor of “Early Start,” the cable news channel’s new 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. news show. He will report for additional programs, such as "The Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer." “Early Start” is currently anchored by Ashleigh Banfield and Zoraida Sambolin, both of whom were hired from other networks last year.
