LiveRail Names Ex-Googler As COO

LiveRail, a real-time online video ad platform provider, announced the hiring of Brian Kane, who joins the company as chief operating officer, where he will oversee global company operations.

Kane joins LiveRail from Google, where he acted as COO of Google’s recently acquired Admeld unit. Previously, Kane served as Google’s director of publisher services after arriving as part of the DoubleClick acquisition.

Talent acquisition will be a particular near-term focus for Kane, the company said.

"I'm thrilled to have such an experienced, talented and highly respected industry leader joining our team," said Mark Trefgarne, LiveRail CEO. "Our business has grown dramatically over the past year, and that means scaling our organization to continue to exceed the needs of our growing client base. Nobody in this industry comes close to matching Brian when it comes to building out world-class teams and creating customer-centric programs for ad technology companies."

"Video advertising is growing rapidly, and LiveRail is at the forefront of the innovation in the space," said Kane. "To enable continued growth, buyers and sellers of advertising need partners with robust technology stacks accompanied by a set of consultative services to help them navigate the quickly evolving space. To that end, I look forward to enhancing and developing the customer-centric and employee-focused culture LiveRail has built to date."
